The Bergenfield Fire Training Center is a STATE CERTIFIED live burn facility that has been in operation since its inception in 1997. The BFTC is comprised of state certified instructors and four representatives (chief officer plus three other reps) from each Bergenfield fire company who make up the training center board. The BFTC is located in the north end of Bergenfield on the corner Dagget Street and Addon Road. Originally, the BFTC was built for the training of Bergenfield’s firefighters, but the center was quickly rented out to other area fire departments who want realistic hands-on firefighter training.
